Speechless. I am rendered in awe of what starts tomorrow – my senior year. Usually, I wouldn’t bat an eyelash at another year in school, but these are extraordinary circumstances. I’ve spent 12 years in school. Twelve years. That is exactly 75% of my life. In nine months, all of it will come to the end with a stroll across a stage. It’s hard to think about. I sit here now, excited for what is to come, but when those nine months pass, my demeanor will be wholly different: a mix of freedom, anxiousness, excitement, with a very large splash of sadness and emptyness. I will miss everything I’m involved in: drama, student council, student ambassadors, and the other thousands of clubs I’m a part of. I will miss the structure and guidance as I’m pushed into the “real world.”

This subject is fairly close to my heart, as it’s been a struggle for me in a multitude of ways. I was introduced to podcasts back in 2005, when I received my shiny new iPod nano (first gen.) I could only fit about one podcast on to it, as space was fairly limited, but I enjoyed that podcast. Fast forward a couple years, I was managing to listen to 32 different podcasts, including most, if not all of the TWiT network, all of the Revision3 network, and more. Now, this was interesting for a couple of reasons. At around an hour per podcast, I was listening to 32 hours of podcasts. Needless to say, I had hearbuds in my ears every chance I had to finish all of them. Also, I did not have internet access at my house, so I had to wait until I went to my dad’s house to download all of them. If I missed a week, I would still be compelled to listen to all of them. It became a job.

Wow, what happened? I was so excited to start a new blog, make content, and have fun. I am so sorry: to you and to myself. I have not posted one thing since April. I am on a mission to do a couple of blog posts per week, maybe some videos, and pick up my camera more often. I hid behind the sad fact that I have no readers, and told myself “why post, then?”
I have plans.
Coming, is the long overdue Windows7 review, and some other posts that I think you will like.
As you see, I reinstalled my blog on this subdomain. That means I have to re-edit all the files that customize the blog, and these will be rolled out as soon as possible. I am doing everything I can to get everything back to normal.
For the past few weeks I knew that I needed to reformat my drive and reinstall XP – explorer.exe had a memory leak, I had 8 minute boot up times, and more. I definitely needed to reformat.
Then, the Microsoft keynote came along and Steve Ballmer said the Windows 7 beta was coming, and I knew that I was going to use that instead of my XP install. I learned that only 2.5 million keys were going to be released, starting at around 12:00 PM EST. I was immediately disappointed, knowing I will be in school when it all comes out. I came home and found out the Microsoft website has been down all day, and that they keys were not sent out.
